I've been given tentative approval to set up Commodore 64 and Amiga 1200 computers in the gaming room. The C64 will have games and the popular Shredz64 (Guitar Hero). The A1200 will have some games but also Tracker Hero; that's Guitar Hero for the Amiga. I'd like to bring more (like a Colecovision), but that's all I can fit in my suitcases.

I arrive late afternoon on Friday and will be setting up the stuff on Friday night. Enjoy all the old school computer fun!

Gas would be covered at the very least, and a warm fuzzy feeling of helping a fellow hacker out of the hell is an airport would be guaranteed. Also if you don't happen to know a lot of people at the con, you'll get to meet a new person(s), and who doesn't love meeting a fellow hacker? The planning is in the early phases, so if you need a ride from the airport/train station, or are able to provide a ride from those locations to the hotel, please get in touch with me.

Well, I haven't heard back from my friends, so I guess I have extra space. It's a 2-bed room at the Comfort Inn, a few streets away from Notacon's Wyndham Hotel (sorry, Wyndham). It's cheaper than the Wyndham, and you'd only get to pay 1/2 the cost. I'm booked into it for Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm helping RobertB out this year by bringing the Commodore computer systems for the Game Room.

Which leads me to ask a favor of the more local Notacon goers. Would anyone be willing and able to bring television(s) and or monitor(s)? We're currently have a need for 4. They need to be able to accept an analog signal (Composite or S-Video, RF as a last resort). It might be nice to have a larger screen TV for the Shredz64 (Guitar Hero on a Commodore 64) machine. Smaller TVs should be fine for the remaining 3 displays.

We have room for one or two more if you would like to sleep on a pull out mattress or floor.
We are looking to cut costs.
Will be arriving at check in time(3:00p.m.) on the 16th, staying the 17th, and will be out of the room by noon on the 18th.
We plan staying, we just don't want to spend the extra on a third night.

Talk-in, tentative: 146.880, negative offset, 110.9 Hz PL tone - I'm not certain that it'll be practical to monitor this as well, but we'll give it a shot.

It looks like we're going to have the crossband repeater, an APRS station, and the HF control station, and maybe a rig monitoring the talk-around or talk-in frequency, all in the Roxy room.

The exam session, as before, starts at 9:00 AM Sunday.

Then install Processing from processing.org.

It won't need any additional libraries and should just work on your system (mac/linux/win) with the core processing install.
It'll require some sort of sound input. Java's pretty good about finding your laptop mic but ubuntu gave me grief (as in static) when I tried to get a usb mic working.
